We’d love for you to celebrate our wedding with us!
Join us in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside in a tent filled with music, laughter and love. Expect a laid-back atmosphere, great food, amazing wine and dancing beneath the trees...

Where?

The wedding will take place in and around a Tipi at Millview Glamping - a private and secluded glamping and event venue about 20 minutes east of Nottingham.

Access is via a lane off the East Bridgford Road. It's a small and easy to miss entrance but there is a sign and it will also probably be marked by something weddingy on the day. There's loads of parking at the end of the lane very near to the Tipi.

Glamping tents are available to hire at the venue (contact us for more info) and there's unlimited camping space if you want to bring your own tents/vans. There are toilets and washing facilities for campers and there's a breakfast planned for the morning after (we're staying there).
The Unicorn Hotel in Gunthorpe, The Bingham Townhouse Hotel and Colwick Hall are the closest hotels, all within 5 miles of the venue or as mentioned before it's about 20 minutes from Nottingham.

Timeline

The ceremony is meant to start at 2pm, but if you've ever met an Anderson then you know it will probably be a little bit after that.
The bar will be open from 1:30pm and will be serving complimentary drinks of some sort on arrival. Food will be served at 4pm.
Afterparty starts at 7pm for a party in the woods if it's sunny, or the Tipi if it's not. There is no carriages time, the bar will close at some point but we will have reserves on site for the after-afterparty.

Food & Drink

There will be a small but very efficiently stocked bar with a selection of great wines, beers & ales on tap (maybe even Guiness), fizz, a few spirits, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
If you want something weird then we're more than happy for you to bring your own. Don't be kicking off at 10 o'clock because you can't have a Negroni, you have been warned.
The bar have assured us that they have a robust card machine but anyone who has ever spent time drinking in a field knows that they're probably wrong, I'd bring cash just in case.
Pricing will be similar to a northern Wetherspoons. Wine will obviously be provided for the meal.

Dinner will be all about sharing (sorry Marcus). Think big rustic boards of antipasti, cheese and fresh bread to start, followed by generous platters of BBQ, vibrant salads and plenty of delicious vegetarian options.
If you have any serious allergies let us know on the RSVP form. That said, since this is a communal BBQ cooked in a field if you have a severe allergy, you’re absolutely welcome to bring your own food.

Gifts

Obviously we have to say the greatest present we could ever receive is your presence on our special day. However, if you want to and are able to, then a contribution to our Honeymoon (or new boiler) would be greatly appreciated.

Afterparty

Plan here is pretty weather dependent really, if it's nice and sunny then the soundsystem and the dancefloor will be set up in the woods, lots of lights in the trees and that, it should be pretty magical. If it's not the best weather then we'll be in the Tipi and the Gabber Yurt. If it is properly raining then access to bar and toilets will be under cover..

There will be sausage and bacon cobs provided later on and some kind of vegetarian option.
